    Interview me

So, here's how this works.  I posted a comment to Amy that said Interview Me and she sent me these questions.  Since no one reads this but Amy, I don't really expect a comment back. :-)

    1. Do you miss Nancy?
Aw, man, I can't believe Nancy didn't show up.  That's Nancy for you!  Hey, man, how's it going?

    2. What do you miss about Monmouth that you didn't think you'd ever miss?
Honestly?  Homework.  I miss being challenged and learning new things.

    3. What's your favorite type of cake?
    Black Forest

    4. What's your favorite musical?
Oh man....that's a hard question...probably West Side Story, though Rent is a close second

    5. When are you gonna publish your stuff and become uber famous and let me just be part of your entourage? I could have some crazy title and it would be super sweet.
From your lips to God's ears.  And I think we should all have crazy tities.  You can be the Chairman of Keeping It Real!

    Money, Money...MONEY
Had a great weekend with my sister, but I bought WAY too much stuff including a totally cute purse!

Horror of horrors though--guess what is back in style?

    Leggings under skirts.
    And denim vests.

OH THE HUMANITY! WHY GOD, WHY? WHAT DID WE DO TO DESERVE THE RETURN OF THE 80s? IT'S NOT FAIR! IT WAS AWFUL THE FIRST TIME!

    Ahem.

Ame, I can't find any of those match-ups. What should I search under?

    Woo, fun
Grr, aarg and all that jazz. Here is a list of suck-tacular things that have happened so far:

    1. I got a flat tire last night. Had a blow out in the parking lot of Sam’s Club. My dad came out to try and fix it but he couldn’t, so we had to call motor club. End result? $82.50.

    2. My cell phone died. I can still make and receive calls, but the display is completely blank. Thus, no caller ID and no text or pix messages. I have to go over to the Verizon in Orland in order to have a replacement phone shipped to my parents’ house. End result? $50.00

    3. Tom has been ill lately and he finally went to the doctor. He called to tell me that he has viral imentingitis (I know that I didn’t spell that correctly), which is an infection in the brain. Oh, and he had a seizure when they poked him to do blood work. But don’t worry, cause he’s on antibiotics. WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN DON’T WORRY? OF COURSE I’M GOING TO WORRY!

On a good note, my sister seems to be on the mend. Today she informed me that she was “hun-ga-ry and wanted a long john”. And “Good Night and Good Luck” is coming to the Marcus in Orland, hoorah! Ame, when are you free? I am thinking sometime this week.

Well, that’s it for now. Peace the spork out.

    JOAQUIN PHOENIX SURVIVES CAR CRASH"

    AN US WEEKLY EXCLUSIVE . . .

LOS ANGELES -- Us Weekly has learned exclusively that actor Joaquin Phoenix was involved in a serious car accident in the Hollywood Hills earlier today. ''His brakes went out and the car flipped over,'' the actor's publicist, Susan Patricola, tells Us. ''But he's doing fine. He may be very sore in the morning, but right now he is doing okay.''

Although the exact circumstances of the accident remain under investigation, his representative says the 31-year-old star was driving the car at the time, but is unknown whether there were other passengers in the car and whether they were injured. The Golden Globe winner was not hospitalized, according to his publicist. Sources tell Us the accident occurred on a winding stretch of Lauren Canyon Boulevard just north of Sunset Boulevard.

Phoenix, whose older brother River died at age 23 from a drug overdose in 1993 outside the Viper Room on Sunset Boulevard, has earned critical acclaim for his portrayal of the late Johnny Cash in last year's Walk the Line, costarring Reese Witherspoon. In addition his Golden Globe win on Jan. 16, the actor is nominated for a Screen Actors Guild award, to be handed out on January 29. ''Joaquin will be at the awards on Sunday,'' says his rep. ''He'll be okay.''

Joaquin, baby, are you okay? Do you need me to come over and kiss it better? 'Cause I totally will. Wherever you need to be kissed. And I mean ANYWHERE. Heeeeeeyyyyyy!

Let's see, not much to report. Saw the Rolling Stones on Monday. That rocked the hizzouse!!! I think that they are actually dead and rise from the grave to play occasionally. I am totally cool with that.

So, Ame, since you are the only one that reads this...wanna hang out on Friday? ;-)

My boyfriend recently told me about this re-occuring dream that he has. Are you ready?

He comes upstairs into his kitchen. On the table there is a stack of pancakes. Mrs. Butterworths and the Pilsbury Dough Boy are there. And the Pilsbury Dough boy is....PLOWING...Mrs. Butterworths. To quote Tom "He has her bent over the plate of pancakes!". I have never laughed so hard...

And he asks me, very seriously, "What do you think it means?"
"Well," I replied. "Did you like pancakes as a kid?"
"They're okay," he said. "If we're putting syrup on something, I really prefer French toasst."

***Honest to God, this really happened. You can't make this shit up***

"I guess," he said thoughtfully, "next time I have that dream I will wait and see if the pancakes are buttered or if they have syrup. That's the important thing, right?"

    Uh...right, sweetie.

    Funniest. Thing. Ever.
    FADE IN: MY BEDROOM--DAY

It is about ten to nine on a Thursday morning. We see ME enter the frame, looking stunning and very Salma Hayek-esque (shut up, it's not like you were there). I am getting ready for work when the phone rings.

    ME:
    Hello?

    TOM:
    Help me, I'm traumatized.

    ME:
What's wrong, do you need me?

    TOM:
I was in the bathroom this morning and I heard...stuff.

    ME:
    Well, what kind of stuff?

    TOM:
    My mom and dad...

    ME:
What? Oh. OH! Well, you know, sometimes beds just squeak if you roll on them funny.

    TOM:
    No, I didn't hear the bed. I heard...stuff.

    ME:
    Are you sure?

    TOM:
I know what it sounds like!

    ME:
Well, at least you know your parents still love each other.

    TOM:
    I am traumatized.

    FADE OUT

This is a TRUE story, folks. And it's one of the funniest damn things to happen in a while.

I’ve been feeling kinda bummed lately and I don’t know why. Maybe it’s the weather, or work, or the fact that nothing exciting has happened lately. Nevertheless, I am bummed so I decided to make a list of things that make me happy. That way, I can just look at this when I feel sad and maybe it will remind other people of what makes them happy. Sort of a “Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens” deal, but a-melodically.

    Things That Make Me Happy:

    *Writers Group
    *Buddy Stories
    *My friends
    *My apartment
    *My bed
    *Fitz
    *Dancing at the Edge
    *Scary movies
    *Hot showers
    *Kisses
    *Jewelry
    *Shoes
    *Re-arranging stuff
    *Writing
    *Solitude
    *Parties
    *Sleep
    *Fresh sheets and clean pajamas

I fell in to a burning ring of fire...
I spent the day with my grandmother today. It was a BURNING RING OF FIRE. There is not enough alcohol in the world to make a day with that woman fun. I went down, down, down and the flames went higher.

And I didn't even get to bone Joaquin Phoenix. WHATEVER!!!

    Hmm...what to say on this blog-eriffic thingy...uh...

    Awesome things of 2005:

    1. Fiona Apple: Extrordinary Machine
Welcome back, Fiona. You were missed. The title track rocks hard.

    2. Mariah Carey: The Emancipation of Mimi
Jason and I always knew it! MARIAH FOREVER!

    3. Rent
    Movie + original cast=gold

    4. Walk the Line
Joaquin Phoenix + Reese Witherspoon = Oscar gold. And the movie rocked as well.

    5. Lost
I just discovered this through my wonderful Amy. It is a joy.

    6. Nip/Tuck
Did y'all see this?! Who knew that Quentin was The Carver?! That was awesome!

    8. My Fair Brady
What do you get when two D-list celebrities mate? One fabulous-o VH1 celeb-reality show. She was a whiny biatch and he was Peter Brady. Genius.

    9. Liz Phair: Somebody's Miracle
Liz isn't selling out. She's growing.

10.Seeing a recent pic of Jennifer Garner...
...and noticing that she's still carrying around that baby weight. Take that AFLAC!!!

Seacrest out. LOOOOOOOOVVVVEEE Y'all (and by "y'all" I mean Amy, the only one that reads this).

Hollywood, I have faith in ye once again
Oh, Hollywood. I know we've had our differences in the past. You insist on making crappy movies like "Cheaper by the Dozen 2" and "Yours Mine and Ours" and ignoring any sense of real art of originality. Well, I went to the movies last night to see "Rent" and "Walk the Line" and let me just say...

    Hollywood, I forgive you.

Amy, Pinchy and I decided to do a "Double Feature" to catch these two movies and we were not dissapointed.

I loved "Rent" on stage and I loved it in film form. Amy and I knew the songs and we were struggling not to sing, but it was difficult. Rosario Dawson was good as Mimi, better than I expected. Of course, it was great that so many of the original cast members could come back.

"Walk the Line" was AWESOME. Joaquin Phoenix take your Oscar and get into my bed, though not neccesarily in that order. Man, that boy is FINE. Oh and he sounded EXACTLY like Johnny Cash. Close your eyes and it was like The Man in Black never left us. Reese Witherspoon was also brilliant, give her the Oscar as well. She doesn't have to jump into my bed though. ;)

    Seacrest out.

    Riiiight

So, I really don’t know what to write in one of these things.  My life is hella boring.  If you want that go read Kevin Smith’s blog: http://www.silentbobspeaks.com.  I have some celeb gossip, but this site has me beat:  http://trent.blogspot.com.  So I’m just gonna write random thoughts so Amy at least has something to read.  (Holla!)

     Movies That Changed My Life

    *Kids

This is the film that made me want to write films.  Harmony Korine is at his best here.  The story is shocking, the characters are real and it’s a film that has stuck with me.

    *Chasing Amy

If anyone ever writes my biography I think it should be called “Chasing Kevin Smith” because I have spent my entire life trying to create something as beautiful as the jeep scene in this film.  The speech, Affleck’s delivery, the direction…all perfect.

    *Good Will Hunting

I always wanted to beat Affleck as the youngest person ever to win an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.  It ain’t gonna happen, but it was a nice dream.

    *All That Jazz

I can’t tell you how this film is life altering without giving away the end.  Watch it and get back to me.

    *Crash

Go. Get. This. Film. Now.  It is brilliant.  You think you know who you are and what your own prejudices are…you don’t.  Go now.  Stop reading.  Go.

    12:42 pm
Okay, I will try this again.
There ARE Selena communities, hoorah! I love Selena.

Um, let's see, what to say...it is Friday. It is raining. It is cool out. I am at work, but I wish I wasn't. I hope that I can go out with my friends tonight. That's all for now.
